AhlulBayt News Agency: The Islamic Center of England has taken a new step in strengthening the spiritual connection with its audience in the month of Ramadan 2026 by producing and broadcasting two special programs.
These programs, titled “Spiritual Iftar” and “Month of Imam”, will be broadcast live on the Islamic Center of England’s YouTube page.
Hojat-ol-Islam Sayed Hashem Mousavi, the Imam of the center, said the Spiritual Iftar program will begin every day 30 minutes before the Maghrib Adhan (call to prayer) in English and will continue until 40 minutes after the call to prayer.
This program has been prepared and produced with the aim of creating a spiritual and cognitive atmosphere in the heavenly moments of Iftar, he noted.
Referring to the experience of previous years, he added that given the coincidence of the Maghrib call to prayer with the end of office hours and the difficulties of commuting in London, this year, in conjunction with the in-person programs, the spiritual Iftar program has been produced with a wider schedule so that audiences can benefit from the rich spiritual and educational content of these days even on the way home or at home.
He said the “Month of Imam” is the title of the program that is broadcast in Persian about 50 minutes before the dawn call to prayer and tries to connect the atmosphere of Ramadan dawn with the recitation, prayers, and teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
Hojat-ol-Islam Mousavi went on to say that the production of the “Spiritual Iftar” program, as one of the center’s new media initiatives, was carried out entirely in English, and its recording and production stages took place in the cities of London, Karbala, Najaf and Qom.
He also explained that the interpretation of the Holy Quran, statement of religious rulings, explanation of the virtues of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (AS) and other Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), moral discussions, prayer and recitation of the Quran are among the main themes of these programs.
The production of these series is the result of the efforts of several media teams that have been planning and producing content for months before the start of Ramadan, he stated.
